The regatta will start from Plymouth in the UK and will end in New Port, USA.
Furia is a 37 feet yacht made by the Danish-based company Luffe. Rumen Kotov, the owner of the boat, has also participated in the ARC 2015 as a part of the Trio - Kopanov, Zaykov, Kotov. For their victory, they have been awarded a golden globe award from the "Cor Caroli" foundation.
In the last few days before the departure, Mihail Kopanov has taken the time to express their gratitude to all who have supported the enterprise. The full letter can be found on the site of "Furia" - furia1101.com
We can sit back and monitor the progress of our "boys", with our toes tight, and support them through this risky and incredible endeavor.
"We are here because we are rich men. We are rich to have friends and proselytes. A bow to all of them, who will support us in spirit during out trans-Atlantic journey" - were the words of Mihail Kopanov before the start.
We are rich too, having you as out friends and teammates. We are proud of you!
